Pier 7
The map to the Hidden Star was torn into pieces, and every piece went to a different starport. At each port, a few travellers come off the ships, and one of them carries the next piece.
You never see them clearly. The customs cameras catch each one half hidden: antennae over a stack of crates, eyes in a dark storeroom, a hand's shadow at the shadow theatre, the stripes on a belly through frosted glass. Put the photos together, work out who is who (name, home world, cargo), and find out who has the piece.
Then the crew signals the next stop on their fingers. Not every alien has ten, so count the way they do.
- Every case has exactly one answer, and you never have to guess.
- A voyage of three to five ports, or single puzzles.
- A case of the day, the same for everyone.
- Photos to start with; a ledger of written clues, in words, pictures or scenes, when you want it harder.
- Hints point at the next real step, and only fill the answer in if you ask.
- For younger players, Simple counting keeps the numbers to plain counting on fingers.
- Every picture is drawn by a small program of our own. No generated art.
- Free, in the browser, no account. Your voyage is kept in your browser.
